STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® RESUME NORDIC SEASON
On Monday, August 10th, TIMBERSPORTS® will return to arranging training camps, competitions and other sports-related activities in the Nordic countries. This means that competitions and activities that have been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic will be arranged under adapted forms.
We are many who have longed for this news and the decision has been taken after careful consideration and recent status reports on the spread of the corona virus.
The TIMBERSPORTS® season will be carried out with strict rules of conduct, in line with the Nordic Public Health Agencies regulations and recommendations. For example, the number of people will be limited to a maximum of 50, a number that can be further reduced if it is not possible to keep responsible distance.
The situation with Covid-19 is not over and we will adapt our activities to current guidelines and continue to take responsibility. We are following the development on a daily basis and we are ready to make new decisions depending on the development.
Alternative planning to resume international season
We have also provisionally drawn up an alternative plan to resume the international season and hold at least one of the two international competitions in a secure and controlled environment, with no live audience, later in 2020. The plan is to arrange the European Trophy on November 8th in Munich, Germany, to allow the best European athletes to qualify for next year’s World Trophy. If the situation allows, more European competitions may be arranged during fall of 2020.
This alternative arrangement will only come into action if it can be held in alignment with local security regulations, international travel policies and in accordance with governmental guidance and restrictions. We are working with our Medical Director on a viable hygiene system to protect all participants.

15-16 August: Swedish qualification to international competition autumn 2020, Orsa, Sweden
TBA (date not set): Qualification European Trophy 2020, Orsa, Sweden
8 November: European Trophy 2020, Munich, Germany
29 November: Individual championships 2020, Munich, Germany
